A rainwater basin for deaf children and young people in Rwanda
At the end of last year, I was working in Kigali, Rwanda and was stuck waiting for a visa. In the lobby of my hotel, I met Dominique, who runs two schools in Kigali: one for deaf children and one for visually impaired children and young people.
We had a long chat about his work with the children and he invited me to visit his family. They offered me the chance to stay with them until I travelled on. I was given an incredibly warm welcome and stayed for 1.5 weeks until I was able to continue my journey.
